Investing in domains and selling domains 2010.

I spent a good portion of the beginning of 2010 acquiring what I felt were great .US domains.  I also picked up some nice .Com’s, .Org and .Net domains as well.  But the fastest ROI without development that I had this year were surprisingly from a couple of .US domains.

I have a similar passion to a client and good friend… We both have taken a liking to the .US ccTLD.  So it was only natural when another friend wanted to sell large portions of their .US portfolio we decided to partner on picking them up rather than battle.

I believe it was early March when we closed our last group buy on these .US domains.   Shortly there after another friend Chef Patrick let me know about an upcoming .US auction we decided to submit some domains and sold 3 .US domains.

This site was purchased and setup by DevRich.com strictly as a marketing test.  The goal was to take a new unregistered domain create content and a unique wrapper.  Have the site indexed and seasoned for a short period.

OnSaleClothing.com – The name of this site says it all.  The goal was for DevRich to quickly build out this site with SEO & Indexing so it can be sold within the year.  Funny but now this site is producing nicely since they have monetized it.  I may reconsider selling the site with performance like this.  In less then 30 days from going live it is making on average over $.46 a day and gaining daily…  Thats $167.00 a year and the site is just getting indexed and searched.  Each day I see improvement.
